Yesterday the Freshmen who will constitute the 1934 Smoker and Jubilee committees were announced by the executive committee composed of the three first-year class officers. The Jubilee will take place in Smith Hall on May 29, while the Smoker is to occur in the Union shortly before the spring vacation.
The Jubilee Committee will be divided up into four different departments: executive, invitation, patroness, and publicity. The date of May 29 has been selected because it occurs on the day before a holiday, and consequently no one will be prevented from attending because of athletic activities or other student functions. The Freshman Instrumental Clubs will probably give a recital during the Smoker, at which President Lowell and the president of the Freshman Class usually talk.
The following are the men named to compose the two groups: Smoker Committee--A. O. Choate '34, chairman; R. G. Grant III '34, sub-chairman; C. E. Cheever '34, Elton Clark Jr. '34, F. J. Crane '34, J.
