KENNEDY WIRES BINGHAM REQUESTING A MEETING

HARVARD AND PRINCETON JOINT CONCERT RUMORED

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Matters were a bit more quiet on the Harvard-Princeton front yesterday with only a few minor incidents recorded in the way of bringing the two colleges together. Developments were as follows: William J. Bingham '16, Director of Athletics, received a telegram from Dr. Kennedy asking for a meeting, but aside from this the message said nothing. No date for the conference was named. Mr. Bingham, moreover, remained silent, except for announcing the news of the receipt of the message.

A meeting in at least one minor sport between the schools was guaranteed when the rugby schedule, released yesterday, revealed that the Tiger team would play here on April 4 and the Crimson team at Princeton on May 9. It will be the first time that rugby teams between the two colleges have met.

Princeton graduates, moreover, have been the recipients of letters asking them to support both in attendance and spirit a joint Harvard-Princeton concert at Jordan Hall on April 9. Nothing closer concerning the concert could be learned.

The truce between the two colleges is still at the same stage of completion, however, as it has been for the last two weeks. Not until Mr. Bingham and Dr. Kennedy meet can anything more definite be done about the matter. Dr. Kennedy's decision on the demands of undergraduates at Princeton and Harvard is not expected until the interview between the athletic directors actually takes place.
