SCHUMACHER IS ELECTED TO CAPTAINCY OF SOCCER TEAM

Election of Alan Theodore Thomas Schumacher '33 of New York City to the position of captain of next year's University soccer eleven was announced yesterday by the Harvard Athletic Association. He received a minor "II" award for playing on the 1930 University team and holds Freshman soccer numerals. Schumacher has played right outside forward this season, showing up well in every game.

The new captain prepared at St. George's School where he competed in soccer, basketball, baseball, and tennis. He is 19 years of age and weighs 160 pounds.
