Minor sports and Freshman teams were entered in almost a dozen contests this weekend, Baseball, Golf, Lacrosse, Tennis and Track teams were victorious.

Soocer Team Noses Out M. I. T. 1 to 0

By the narrow margin of one goal the University soccer team defeated the M. I. T. booters last Saturday. The game was closely contested, both teams playing an aggressive brand of soccer throughout, and it remained anyone's game until the final whistle had blown. A. M. Moskin '33 scored the lone tally for the Crimson.

University Lacrosse Men Downed by Syracuse

The Syracuse lacrosse team seized the opportunity to win one of the closest stick games ever held at Harvard when they scored two goals while University players were out on penalties, on the Business School Field last Saturday.

A desperate Crimson rally following the return of the Harvard players from the penalty box gave the team one lone tally when N. N. Cochrane '32 netted one on a beautiful pass play. George Thiel, of Syracuse tallied both the Orange and Blue goals.

Harvard's netmen blanked another opponent Saturday at the Divinity Courts when they easily defeated the Cornell tennis team by a 9 to 0 score. For the fourth time in their series of eight consecutive wins this season, the Crimson players hold their adversaries to a scoreless meet.

All the single and two of the three double matches Saturday were taken in the first two sets. Captain M. T. Hill ocC was back in the line-up for the Cornell tilt, taking his match by defeating Vaughn 7-5 and 6-4.

Again the Harvard Freshman baseball team's hitting was poor, when the Dartmouth Freshman nine rolled up 18 runs to 2 against Harvard at Hanover, Saturday. Captain John Ware, the Crimson's lead-off man, was the only member of the team to make more than one hit.

A weak forward line, falling to take advantage of scoring opportunities, was largely responsible for the 8 to 5 defeat which the Jayvee ruggers received at the hands of the Syracuse Seconds last Saturday on Soldiers Field. Dartmouth Downed by 1934 Tennis Team

Continuing its winning season, the steady Harvard Freshman tennis team easily beat the Dartmouth Freshmen, 9 to 0 last Saturday, on the Divinity courts.

Singles--Davenport (H) defeated Noble (D) 6-0, 6-1; G. H. Hartsford (H) won from Belknapp (D), 6-2, 4-6, 6-2; Lawrence Freeburn (H) defeated Hall (D), 6-4, 8-6, 6-3; W. K. Porter (H) efeated Vail (D), 6-2, 6-4; W. S. Emmett (H) won from Rigby, 10-8, 8-6; R. E. Metz (H) defeated Mann (D), 6-4, 6-0.
