FIRST YEAR POLO TEAM MEETS BATTERY A TRIO

Captain Davis, and Oliver at No. 1 Expected to Star for Crimson--Win Last Week Encourages Riders

Facing the Battery A riders in the Commonwealth Armory tonight the Harvard Freshman polo team will continue its play in the Greater Boston Polo League. The Artillery men will face a fast riding Freshman aggregation in the contest at 8.15 o'clock, encouraged by its win over the 51st Brigade last Monday.

The team this time is the same that defeated the Brigade in the season's opener with an 8 to 4 1-2 point victory. Captain D. A. Davis '35 will lead the trio, and plays No. 2 man. G. T. Oliver '35 is the No. 1 man and F. E. Johnson '35 plays back. Davis was the outstanding scorer in the last game, accounting for four of the goals, Oliver also scored on a long shot. T. J. Davis '35 is alternate for the team.

Captain F. D. Sharp, coach of both University and Freshman polo squads feels quite confident of his yearlings. They have al had plenty of experience in the game. They will face Andover's first polo players in their next game on January 23.
