Playing its second game of the season, the University Basketball team meets a seasoned team from Dartmouth tonight at 8 o'clock in the Indoor Athletic Building.
Dartmouth will be represented by an unusually strong and experienced group of hoopsters, most of whom have been playing together for some time. The Green started its season earlier than Harvard this year and has won four games by rather large margins, winning from the Crimson Independents, a Graduate Schools quintet, 28 to 17, from Middlebury, 41 to 19, from Providence, 41 to 28, and from St. Michael's, 52 to 22. The leader of the Dartmouth quintet is McCall, star backfield man of this year's football eleven. He is an all-around player, filling either the guard or forward positions.
Harvard encouraged by its easy win over the Tufts aggregation Saturday night, will be represented by practically the same group of players, except for the substitution of C. H. Hageman '33, captain of his Freshman five and a regular on last year's team, for H. G. Reisner, Jr. '33, or W. A. Huppuch '33, last week's starting guards. Both of these men are sure to play, however, for Coach Wachter will probably put in an entirely new team to relieve the starters. Those who will figure in this role include King Upon '33, A. J. Matursevitch '33, W. A. Schroeder, Jr. '33, H. K. Wells '34, W. S. Baskerville '32, and S. C. Dorman '33.
Although Dartmouth has a strong team, having come out on top in all but three of the last ten contests with the Crimson, Coach Wachter is much pleased with the team's improvement and feels optimistic.
