SENIOR ELECTIONS

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

For four years in succession there has been some error in connection with the Senior class elections. This year's mistake was slight and will cause no harm; it will merely result in confusion. The errors in most cases were caused by the fact that there is no centralizing direction of the elections. The matter is handled every year by a different group of men; there is no one to guide each new nominating committee.

It seems only logical that some measures should be taken to prevent the recurrence of these mistakes. Undergraduate interest in the elections is steadily waning but that is hardly an excuse for not conducting them efficiently. A mere undergraduate memorandum is hardly sufficient. Why could not one of the deans, preferably the dean of Seniors, be appointed to be overseer for the elections? The continuity he would provide would be invaluable. His familiarity with Senior affairs from year to year would provide for accurate handling at all times.
