University Hall officials issued a reminder last night that applications for the Henry fellowships would close on January 1. Two scholarships for approximately 500 pounds each are available for unmarried American students and are tenable at Oxford or Cambridge. Applications must be sent to the office of the Secretary of either Harvard or Yale Universities.

Every candidate must show distinction in some recognized branch of learning and must present a definite scheme of study or research. Only candidates who can spend their whole time in study, social intercourse with fellow students, and travel will be considered. W. W. Foshay '31 and D. D. Lloyd '31 were the holders of the fellowships last year.

According to stipulations of the award, the proposed work must coincide with ordinary university facilities and the committee of management must be satisfied that the candidate is physically fit.
