HOLST, WELL-KNOWN BRITISH COMPOSER, TO TEACH HERE

Gustav Holst, distinguished British composer, known for his orchestral, choral, and operatic works, will teach Composition in the course Music 7 under the Division of Music for the second half of the present academic year. Holst comes to Harvard under the Lamb Bequest, made possible through the generosity of Mrs. Horatio A. Lamb, in memory of her husband. Holst's works include an orchestral suite "The Planets", and a choral work "Hymn of Jesus".
