GRADY TAKES TWO FIRST PLACES IN FALL TRACK MEET

First in Cross Country Race With Time of 26 Min., 23 3-5 Sec.--Pole Vault Won by Sutermeister

J. C. Grady '33 won the 120-yard high hurdles yesterday to take a total of two first and one second place on the final day of the annual Fall Handicap Track Meet. Grady was the winner of the 70-yard high hurdles and placed second in the high jump in the first day of the meet. Oscar Sutermeister '32, jumped from scratch, cleared the bar at 12 feet, six inches to win the pole vault at a height one inch under his mark in last year's meet.

Robert Murphy '32 won the cross-country race with an elapsed time of 26 minutes, 23 3-5 seconds and an actual time of 25 minutes, 23 seconds.

The track summary:

Pole vault--won by Oscar Sutermeister '32 (Scratch); second, J. D. Woodberry '35 (1 ft.); third, J. L. Campbell 1GB. (1 ft. 6 in.). Height--12ft. 6in.

Broad jump--won by W. c. McCarthy '35 (6 in.); second, J. D. Woodberry '35 (1 ft.); third, W. L. Hansler '34 (scratch). Distance--20 ft. 9 1-2 in.

880-yard run--won by G. P. Rosen '33 (4 yds.); second, J. B. White '34 (6 yds.); third, N. F. Edmonds '33 (5 yds.). Time-- 2 min. 5 sec.

150-yard dash--won by H. R. Brown '34; second, James Parton '34; third, W. C. McCarthy '35. Time--13 2-5 sec.

120-yard low hurdles won by J. C. Grady '33 (scratch); second, D. B. Cheek '34 (scratch); third, Robert Murphy '32 (scratch). Time 16 1--6 sec.
