Led by R. C. Pollard '34 at center half back, the University Second soccer team defeated Springfield by a score of 1 to 0 yesterday afternoon at Soldiers Field.

After the game George Roberts Clark '34, of Cynwyd, Pennsylvania was elected Jayvee captain for the coming season. Clark, a veteran of several years standing, prepared at St. Paul's.
