Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
While China, Japan, and the League of Nations are ostensibly trying to end the Manchurian difficulty, one is surprised to find that Chinese students in this country are trying to do the opposite. Using the time worn militaristic slogan of "Preserve Peace by preparing for war", they are raising money to buy two thousand aeroplanes, a majority of which are to be sent immediately to Manchuria. Their ultimate aim is to drop the one fatal bomb on Tokio, thus gaining pieces rather than peace.
It is this spirit which is making any settlement of the Manchurian crisis difficult. Although the whole affair was, to outward appearances, started by Japan, strong feeling in China has hindered any arbitration. The educated Chinese should be the first to quell, the trouble, rather than among those agitating further hostilities. Undoubtedly they have been carried away by the bitter feeling and the demonstrative jingoism of war. It is they, the intelligent, the educated, who should be the leaders toward peace. Their views may have little immediate effect but they might aid in furthering an amicable settlement.
