A meeting of 62 University hockey candidates, who will report for the first practice on Monday, was held yesterday afternoon at the Varsity Club, officially opening the 1931-32 season.

Out of the total number of men present at the gathering, 15 were members of last year's Freshman squad, 12 played on the second team last winter, and eight are lettermen.

A brief speech by Coach Joseph Stubbs '20, who described the nature of the schedule, the new rules, allowing forward passes in all zones, and training regulations, opened the meeting, and was followed by talks by Captain C. C. Cunningham '32, and Eustice Dearborn '32.

The schedule, which was recently announced, includes games with Technology, St. Mary's, Toronto, Dartmouth, Brown, Princeton, and Yale. A Christmas trip will be made to Syracuse, where the team will meet McGill and Queens. Although there will be no official practice during midyears, there will be a chance for optional practice during the last week of examinations.
