LOWELL AND GARFIELD TALK WITH PRESIDENT HOOVER

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

On a trip that took University officials by surprise, President Lowell, and President Garfield of Williams College, conferred with Present Hoover at the White House yesterday. Although it was not known if Mr. Hoover had asked them to come to the capital to see him, the two leading presidents were closeted with the chief executive for several minutes. Officers of the University, when questioned last night, declared that they knew nothing about the visit to Washington.
