SEVEN HARVARD HARRIERS SEEK I.C. 4A LAURELS

New York, N. Y., Nov. 15--Led by N. P. Hallowell, Jr. '32, intercollegiate champion in the mile run, Harvard's cross country team, along with that of Pennsylvania, is the strongest obstacle in Penn State's path as it seeks permanent possession of the I.C.4A team prize tomorrow.

The race, starting at 2.30 o'clock over a six-mile course in Van Cortland Park, will find the Crimson favored for at least a third place, and counted on to do its utmost towards preventing Penn State, Syracuse, or Cornell, each of whom has four legs on the trophy, from gaining permanent possession.

Hallowell Real Threat

Hallowell finished fifteenth in 1929 and seventh last year. If the Crimson leader shows equal improvement tomorrow he should match strides with McCluskey of Fordham, Barker of N. Y. U., and Chamberlain, individual winner from Michigan State last year. Harvard's last team victory came in 1912; in 1928 J. L. Reid '29 led the field for the Crimson.

Seven Harvard runners will compete against about 120 representatives from 21 other colleges. These are: Hallowell, J. B. Currier '32, G. N. Barrie '32, J. M. Fox '32, B. E. Estes '32, Arthur Foote '33, and F. D. Murphy '33. J. M. Estabrook '34 is alternate.
