An inexperienced Freshman crew that has only been in a shell for a few weeks, and has been coached by Bort Haines, placed second in a six-sided regatta held Tuesday afternoon, while an eight made up of men that had already rowed in preparatory schools, placed first by three quarters of a length.

Four other boats, two inexperienced, and two experienced, also rowed, in the race, which was rowed over the three quarter mile course from the Cottage Farm to the Harvard Bridge.
