DUMMY SCRIMMAGE CONSTITUTES WORK OF DAY'S PRACTICE

Bond Also Holds Easy Session Before Season Opener at Andover--Power of Squad Awaits Testing

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Dummy scrimmages against the New Hampshire plays and thorough drilling in fundamentals were the chief components of yesterday's workout for the University squad. Short scrimmages took place between the first string and Seconds, although no tackling was permitted beyond the scrimmage line.

Record, still laid up with a bruised muscle, will be the only man unable to take part in tomorrow's game. Every man turned out yesterday except Mays, who was held up by a laboratory appointment. With Record out of Saturday's scrap, it seems likely that Nazro, rangy Sophomore end, will be played in the left side of the rush line. Nazro has held down Record's job in the last few practices, and has filled the assignment well. The substitute end man is a six-footer weighing 185 pounds, veteran of last year's Freshman eleven.

Wildcats Arrive Tomorrow

The Wildcat eleven arrives in Cambridge sometime tomorrow morning, but it is expected that the visiting team will do little more than look at the Stadium without doing any practicing until just before game time. That the New Hampshire game will be a real test for the Harvard team seems to be realized by followers of the Wildcat team while it seems sure that the Crimson eleven should come out on top, there will be plenty of opportunity to improve on last week's performance. It will be a test to see how effective have been Coach Casey's scoring play drills that have taken up a good deal of the practice periods this week.

Coach R. F. Bond '18 spent most of yesterday afternoon running his 1935 squad through signal drills, followed by kicking practice and a light scrimmage. The first year team opens Saturday against Phillips Andover when the abilities and positions on the 1935 eleven will crystallize.

The University squad will hold its usual light pre-game day work-out, with little strenuous drilling in store for the Harvard footballers.

Lineups for the University team follow:
