FLOOD LIGHTS INSTALLED TO ILLUMINATE FLOATS AT WELD

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In anticipation of rowing conditions on the river in the late fall and early spring, two large flood-lights have been moved from Soldiers Field to the Weld boathouse. The lights, which are installed on the balcony overlooking the landing, are sufficient to illuminate the whole float. This precaution is taken to guard against the danger of boats being rammed against the float on account of the early fall darkness, as has frequently happened in former years. It is understood that crews will not row any later in the evening than formerly.
