EDDIE MORRIS KEEPS JOB IN SPITE OF ELECTRIC SCOREBOARD

Continues to Announce Results of Games From Other Colleges

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Despite the new electric football scoreboard at Soldiers Field Stadium Eddie Morris has not retired from public view. While it is true that he will no more dash up and down the sidelines, madly waving his limbs to signal the results of each play, his stentorian voice will continue to announce the results of football games elsewhere.

The electric scoreboard, placed above the stands is painted black with yellow lettering. Electric lights, operated by an attendant on the fifty yard line, signal the number of the down, the yards to go, the line the ball is resting on, the team in possession of the ball, the score, who made the play and the number of the penalty. The penalties are listed by number in the H. A. A. News of every game. Fast operating relays controlled by push buttons change the numbers, which may be varied in brilliancy to be visible no matter how brilliant the sun may be.
