A collection of paintings and pen drawings by Randolph Caldecott will be on exhibition during this month in the Treasure Room of the Widener Library. Caldecott, an English illustrator of the nineteenth century, excelled in portraying English country life. The pen sketches are largely of hunting scenes, while the paintings are of a variety of subjects including pastoral scenes and some excellent portraits of dogs.
