TWO SEEDED PLAYERS OUT BY FOURTH ROUND

Play in Singles A Tennis Tournament Nears Semi-Finals--Coggeshall Holds Jackson Cup

With F. B. Broida '32 and Robert Inglis '33, seeded seventh and eighth respectively already eliminated, the Singles A division of the University fall tennis tournament which started on October 5 is approaching the quarter final round. G. H. Hartford '34, unseeded, has gained the quarter finals along with S. E. Davenport '34, D. M. Frame and W. C. Thompson.

Those who who have yet to play the fourth round are J. M. Barnaby '33, H. M. Coggeshall 3L, R. A. Cooley '32, Henry Taylor 3G, G. P. Webber '33, and Edward Yeomans '33. Coggeshall, defending the Jackson Cup, the tournament award, will play the winner of the third round match between Edward Jones 3G.B. and J. L. Ware 3L. The champion, who has won national ranking honors should not find himself pressed to win again.

Out of the 110 entered in the Singles A tournament there were only eight seeded players, who are as follows: 1. Coggeshall, 2. Edward Yeomans, 3. Frame, 4. Barnaby, 5. Thompson, 6. S. E. Davenport, 7. Robert Inglis, '33, and 8. F. B. Broida '32.
