HARVARD
42--Crickard, savage backfield star whose slashing off-tackle slants have been tremendous ground gainers in every Harvard game this season. A ripper when he hits the line, this rugged ball carrier is equally dangerous in a broken field; on forward pass plays, Crickard is both a strong blocker and an accurate pass receiver.
44--White, a 175-pound blocking fullback who left the Army defense men in a dazed condition last Saturday as he outdistanced them with his burning speed to take in some breathtaking passes from Wood.
52--Wood, extraordinary field general and signal caller, whose strategy, forward passing and kicking ability have made him a strong point in the Harvard backfield for the past three years. Watch for him on running plays too, as he tries out his own carrying ability on the opposition.
55--Hardy, 209-pound Junior tackle in his first year of University football, whose location in the left tackle berth has made the Harvard wall a hard one to penetrate. Offensively and defensively, this lineman is a pillar of strength for Harvard.
TEXAS
10--Baumgarten, stalwart 180-pound guard who is in the front row on every play adding his ginger to the forward wall charge of the Longhorns. This Texan captain will be foremost in testing out Harvard's new central rush line.
11--Blanton, 210-pound All Southwest-Conference tackle who was a strong cog in last year's championship eleven. A week ago Blanton took time out from his regular line job in order to kick a game-winning field goal against Oklahoma.
6--Koy, bullet passer and gigantic ball carrier of the Longhorn aggregation whom 2000 Texas supporters expect to give Harvard considerable trouble as he makes gaps in the Crimson line. When you watch this fighting player, reminiscent of another Coy, you will follow him along with a cheering section of ardent Texans.
25--Elkins, veteran quarterback of two years' standing who is an important cog in the invading machine. Light, fast, an accurate passer, the 155-pound pilot is the guiding genius of Coach Littlefield's Lone-star-staters.
