DEFENSIVE DRILL ENDS TEAM'S WORK FOR TEXAS GAME

Preparation for Western Team is Now Virtually Complete--Four Men Will be Out of Game

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Devoting nearly the entire period to polishing up a strong defense for the football air raid that Casey and his staff are confident will be used by the Texas eleven in tomorrow's game, Harvard's preparation virtually ended yesterday. The drill served as a complement to Wednesday afternoon's session on defensive work on running plays.

For three-quarters of an hour Team A was raced through a dummy scrimmage, after which Teams B and C were brought in to make up a defense for the first string. The entire squad was put through a serious workout on the dummies, while the backs were taken aside and specially groomed in blocking and tackling work.

As far as the condition of the team is concerned, four men will be unable to buck the Texans, Esterly, Myerson, Hallowell, and Moushegian will be in blankets throughout the game. These men, with the exception of Esterly, who is lost for the rest of the season, will be back at practice on Tuesday, and will be in shape for the Virginia game on October 31st.

The usual short Friday afternoon loosening up session will constitute this afternoon's work, with the Texas team due to arrive in Boston at 3.45 o'clock, after which they will come to the Stadium for a light kicking and passing drill.

Yesterday's Team A lineup: Nazro, l.e.; Hardy, l.t.; Bancroft, l.g.; Cunningham, c.; Talbot, r.g.; Kopans, r.t.; Hageman, r.e.; Wood, q.b.; Crickard, Mays, l.h.b.; Schereschewsky, r.h.b.; White, f.b.

The team B arrangement: Record, l.e.; Faxon, l.t.; Ginman, l.g.; Casey, Crane, c.; Healey, r.g.; Kales, r.t.; Francisco, r.e.; Wells, q.b.; Peter, Bennett, Pescosolido, l.h.b.; Dean, Gleason, r.h.b.; Nevin, f.b.
