Kennedy to Talk to Harvard Faculty and Coaches--Has Hit "Smoothie" Complex at Princeton

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Dr. C. W. Kennedy, president of the National Athletic Association, and head of athletics at Princeton, will be the speaker at a dinner for the athletic committee, the administrative board, the deans, and the athletic coaches, on Friday evening.

This fall dinner has been held every year since W. J. Bingham '16, was appointed athletic director, and its purpose is to enable the academic and athletic men to become better acquainted. It is intended to be and informal and private gathering.

Dr. Kennedy will come merely as a guest this fall, and his appearance in Cambridge will have no connection with any changes in the Harvard-Princeton athletic relations.

Last week in a talk to the university and freshman track candidates, Dr. Kennedy referred to the undergraduates at Princeton as "smoothies", asserting that successful athletics depend upon the desire of the undergraduates to sacrifice soft living, and devote their efforts toward athletic endeavor. The current "smoothie" complex he holds directly responsible for "Princeton's disgraceful sports record of the past few years."
