Fall baseball practice, which has been in progress since September 30, will be brought to a close at the end of this week.

From the first week the squad of 40 upperclassmen and Freshmen have been divided into two teams, which Fred Mitchell, University baseball coach, tried purposely to make as even as possible and each day there has been an informal six-inning game, in which every man gets a chance to play.

As the season is entirely unofficial, no stress is laid on batting and fielding practice, the sole purpose of the season being to enjoy the game, and to discover and develop, new material for the spring season.
