UNIVERSITY ELEVEN IS GIVEN LIGHT WORKOUT

150-POUND SQUAD TO BE CUT TODAY AND MONDAY

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

While team A had a very light workout yesterday, team C made a poor showing against the Seconds, merely holding them in a scoreless scrimmage. Hardy is now back again in the first eleven, and the probable opening line-up for the Bates game tomorrow will be as follows: Moushegian, l.e.; Hardy, l.t.; Esterly, l.g.; Hallowell, c.; Myserson, r.g.; Kopans, r.t.; Hageman, r.e.; Wood, q.b.; Mays or Crickard, l.h.b.; Dean, r.h.b.; White, f.b. Kicking drills and concentrated work on and against forward passes constituted most of the A team's warming up.

Of the first eleven lineup only Myerson, White, and Wood started against Yale last year, while Dean, Hardy Kopans, and Hallowell will play their first game as regulars. Esterly's one previous start was against the Coast Guard last season. Bates has not entered the Stadium since their 48-0 drubbing two years ago.

The 150-pound squad will be cut today from 80 to 50, and there will be a further cut Monday or Tuesday reducing the total number to around 35. Those cut are expected to report to house teams, and it is hoped that 15 or 20 men will turn out for each. An inter-house schedule will be run off, and either the championship team or an all-star team is to play Yale on Saturday, November 14, at New Haven.

Besides the inter-house schedule, these teams will play matches with Andover, Milton High, Dummer, and the Second University. In the last named game each house team will play one short period.

The present lineups of the B and C teams, most members of which will see action against Bates, are as follows:

Team B: Record and Cassedy, l.e.; Faxon, l.t.; Rogers, l.g.; Cunningham, c.; Talbot, r.g.; Ginman, r.t.; Kales, r.t.; Francisco, r.e.; Wells, q.b.; Pescosolido, l.h.b.; Gleason, r.h.b.; Schereschewsky, f.b.

Team C: Lowe, l.e.; Finlayson, l.t.; Harter, l.g.; Crane, c.; McClees, r.g.; Healey, r.t.; Nazro, r.c.; Whitney, q.b.; Peter, l.h.b.; Waters, r.h.b.; Nevin, f.b.
