ADAMS HOUSE HOLDS FIRST OF SERIES OF THURSDAY DINNERS

Guests from Other Units are Expected When House Officers and Members Eat at Staff Table

The first of a series of Thursday evening dinners will be held in Adams House tomorrow, it was announced yesterday by Assistant Professor J. P. Baxter 3d, Master of the House. Guests from other units will be welcomed, and a number of visitors are expected. Undergraduate members of the House will eat at the staff table, seating about 30. Dress at these dinners will be informal.

Following the dinner tomorrow J. H. William, professor of Economics, will speak in the upper common room on the subject. "Does President Hoover's Program Mark the Turn of the Economic Tide?" It is expected that an Adams House Economic Society will be organized following the discussion.

Plan Sunday Discussions

Professor Baxter, B. C. Hopper '17, lecturer on international relations, and other members of the House staff and the Faculty will guide groups, meeting in Apthorp House on Sunday evenings or at other convenient times to discuss international relations and allied topics. Professor C. H. Taylor '97, assistant professor of History will meet students interested in the History of the World War; Major Thomas H. Thomas, a military historian, will aid in conducting this discussion group. Undergraduates interested in any other subjects will be provided with places of meeting for discussions.

A tunnel connecting all units of Adams House has been completed, and will be opened shortly. The tunnel will give all members of the House access under cover to the dining hall and to the swimming pool in Westmorly Hall. The pool has been fitted with a new filter, and is in use daily.
