SHAKESPEAREAN PLAYERS TO PERFORM NEXT WEEK

Will Produce "Hamlet" and "As You Like It"--Performances Given on Monday and Tuesday

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Next Monday, January 12, and Tuesday, January 13, in Sanders Theatre, the "Ben Greet Players" will present two plays of Shakespeare at the invitation of the department of English. The plays given will be "Hamlet," on Monday, and "As You Like It" on Tuesday, both being evening performances starting at 8.15 o'clock.

Students who wish to secure reservations for either of the two performances have been urged to communicate with the box-office in the Rogers Building, opposite the theatre. The Cambridge School of the Drama has given office space for the purpose, and the Ben Greet management is holding 100 of the most desirable seats until Friday for members of the University. Prices for the seats will range from $.50 to $2.00.

Returning from his transcontinental tour of last year. Sir Philip Ben Greet and his cast of English actors are offering several additions to their former program. Sir Philip has been on the stage for 50 years, and is well-known as a dramatic teacher and authority. His plays are produced on the theory that the stage should inspire rather than relieve the imagination, while a great deal of attention is played to the often-neglected problem of correct speaking.
