An announcement from the publicity office of the University has revealed that, according to current figures, more members of the Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Classes have chosen the field of Economics for concentration than any other field. Of the 2,156 upperclassmen who have chosen recognized fields of concentration, 17.7 per cent have enrolled in that field, according to existing records. The two subjects which have proved to be the next most popular are English, which has an enrollment amounting to 13.2 per cent of the total, and History, which has attracted 10.9 per cent of the total.
The figures, which were compiled at a later date than those contained in Dean Hanford's recent report, nevertheless show the same general relation between the major fields.
