HARVARD'S ROWING ARMADA WILL HAVE TWO NEW SHELLS

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In preparation for the coming crew season, two shells are nearing completion for the use of the University and Freshman eights respectively. The University boat is being built by Bill Lutz, who has been working in the shop for 34 years, and has for more than 16 years provided Harvard crews with their navy.

The cost of building is covered by a gift from George Whitney '07. A similar gift from L. E. Herrick '97 will defray the expenses of construction and transportation of the Freshman boat, which is being built at Putney, England, by Sims and Sons, Boat builders.
