REDLICH CHOSEN JUDGE OF WORLD COURT AT THE HAGUE

Dr. Joseph Redlich, Charles Stebbins Fairchild professor of comparative law and head of the department of comparative law at the Law School, yesterday accepted the post of Judge of the World Court at the Hague.

Appointed exchange professor at Harvard in 1907. Dr. Redlich came to the United States in 1910, when he became the Godkin lecturer. He came to America again in 1921 and in 1926 was appointed professor of comparative law at the University Law School. Dr. Redlich has also lectured at various other colleges throughout the nation.

Going to school and college in Vienna and continuing his studies in the German universities of Leipzig and Tubengen, he became a doctor of laws in 1891 at the University of Vienna. After leaving college he went directly into political service and has been active in public life ever since, being regarded as one of the foremost authorities on international government and political science.
