The question of employment and general wage scales at Harvard, which has been a source of discomfort to the University during the year, will be the subject of a study to be begun in October, it was announced last night at University Hall.

All preliminary arrangements have been completed and a New York research organization, Industrial Relations Counselors, Inc., has been engaged to conduct the study under the direction of Arthur H. Young, secretary of the organization.

Industrial Relations Counselors, Inc., is an organization established in 1926 to carry on research in the general field of human relations in industry, and to provide consulting service on a cost basis. Arthur H. Young is the executive head of the Corporation. The chairman of the board of trustees is Raymond B. Fosdick and among the members is Owen D. Young '24.
