HSIAO AND BILLINGS WIN THE CLEMENS HERSCHEL PRIZES

Ching-Yun Hsiao, a graduate student in the Engineering School, and William Eugene Billings '31, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, have been awarded the Clemens Herschel Prize in Hydraulics.

The prize is awarded annually to the students in the Engineering School who do the best work during the year in Hydraulics. It consists of a copy of "The Two Books on the Water Supply of the City of Rome of Sextus Julius Frontinus", a book by the donor of the prize.
