Announcement was made yesterday by Dr. Harlow Shapley, Director of the Harvard College Observatory that the comet discovered on June 2 at Rosebank, Cape of Good Hope, South Africa, will be visible through telescopes in the northern hemisphere in the latter part of this month and that it will be observed by the Harvard astronomers.

It was declared that although the comet is becoming brighter it will not be visible to the naked eye. Observations taken at Cape Town, Africa show that the comet made its nearest approach to the sun on May 10. It is still out of reach of telescopes in the northern hemisphere but it is travelling in an apparent northerly direction.
