HARVARD OARSMEN ROW ON. SCHUYLKILL TODAY

CRIMSON IS DEFENDING CHAMPION IN EASTERN MEET

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Philadelphia, Penn., May 30-Two Harvard crews, the third University and the 150-pound eights, tomorrow face a field which promises to furnish the Crimson oarsmen with their strongest competition of the season. The American Henley, held annually on the Schuylkill by the American Rowing Association, this year has drawn to Philadelphia crews from most of the colleges of the East, including Yale, Harvard, and Princeton.

Both Crimson eights worked out twice today, once in the morning and again in the late afternoon. The lightweights, despite the fact that they have won over M. I. T. and Penn., are not as good as last year's 150-pound boat. Coach Sullivan feels, however, that his charges can be counted on to give their opponents, including the Elf eight which defeated them earlier in the season, a good fight.

The seatings are as follows:

150-pounders-stroke, J. M. Byrne '31; 7, H. N. Roberts '30; 6, W. W. Ames '31; 5, E. A. Locke Jr, '32; 4, W. M. Rainbolt Jr, ocC; 3 Harper Woodward '31; 2. J. Q. Adams '31; bow, C. C. Perry '31; coxswain. Richard Kimball '31.
