The Eli lacrosse team yesterday trounced the Crimson stickmen to the tune of 7 to 0, in a game during which at no time did the Harvard players threaten to score. The Yale team scored four goals in the first six minutes of play, and three more before the contest ended.
The winners thus kept clean a record which they have held since their season opened adding the Harvard scalp to their belt on which already hang six. In the opening minutes of play the Eli players sent a fire of shots against Gulick, the Harvard goalie, who let five of them slip by. Salmon was substituted in his place, and in the remainder of the game he stopped 13 out of 15 shots.
The summary: Score--Yale 7, Harvard 0. Goals--Beggs 2, Stevens, Pennell, Smith, Reinhardt, Dodge. Time--Two 30-minute periods. Referee--Heintz of Stevens. Judge of play--Harrison of Johns Hopkins.
