WALKER WINS $1,000 PRIZE IN FINE ARTS COMPETITION

John Walker, 3rd '30, of Pittsburgh, Penn., has been awarded the first prize of $1,000 in a competition conducted each year by the College Art Association, it was announced yesterday by authorities at Fogg Art Museum.

Conducted for seniors specializing in Fine Arts at colleges throughout the country, the competition consists of an essay and two examinations of four hours each. Walker was recently selected by the Museum of Modern Art to serve on an advisory committee with the directors.
