Both the Harvard Freshman and second tennis teams were victorious yesterday afternoon, the former defeating Milton Academy, 10 to 2, and the latter shutting out the Tufts university team, 9 to 0.
The Freshman team had little difficulty in conquering the schoolboy aggregation. Milton was able to take only one of the singles matches and the first doubles. One of the most interesting matches was that in which Morton McMichael '33 and H. R. Woodard '33 defeated Franklin and Davis of Milton, 6-3, 4-6, 6-2.
The seconds simply overpowered the Tufts university squad. Only two sets were lost in the afternoon, although C. E. Pickhardt '31 and F. B. Broida '32 were forced to 11-9, 6-4 before they could defeat Howard and McCaul of Tufts.
