FRESHMAN NINE OPPOSES BROWN FIRST YEAR TEAM

BRUIN FRESHMEN HAVE NOT YET PLAYED

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

This afternoon at 4 o'clock on Soldiers Field, the Harvard Freshman baseball team will meet the Brown first year men Coach Davidson of Harvard will make no changes in the 1933 lineup, but will use the same men who started in the recent encounter with the Holy Cross freshmen.

Out to avenge the 6 to 0 defeat ministered to them at the hands of the Crusader aggregation, the first year nine will be playing careful baseball today in order to return to the winning column. After easily defeating St. Mark's 10 to 4, the Crimson nine failed to offer much in the one-sided tilt with the Purple, but it is hoped that in the warm baseball weather predominating at present the Harvard forces will be able to put up a good fight.

Anshen Probable Twirler

Of the outfit from Providence, Sweeney will most likely be called upon to pitch, while M. L. Anshen '33 will probably start on the mound for the Crimson. The Brown team is an unknown quantity, while the Harvard team has not shown anything more than mediocre form up to date. W. A. Adler '33 and Captain T. J. Valenski '33 have been the outstanding Freshman batters to date. Adler got two hits out of two times up in the Holy Cross game, being the only Harvard man to hit Drotter, the Purple pitcher. Valenski scored heavily in the St. Mark's game.
