HUA Election Will Feature No Referenda or Survey Questions
Interest in rugby football has by now grown to such an extent that the support of the H. A. A. will soon be necessary to insure its further development. The sooner the H. A. A. gives it this support, the sooner the sport will be given a fair trial in its adopted home.
There seems to be a very good chance that rugby will become a regular and popular feature of the spring sport calendar. College baseball is definitely on the wane; lacrosse has not lived up to the predictions made for it several years back; it may be that rugby will step in and take a position at the head of the spring season.
The game has all the spectacular features of American football without any of the drawbacks which make the latter impractical for warm weather. It seems destined to win a place in the esteem of American sport followers. Adoption and cultivation by the athletic authorities would be a progressive step.
