The inter-class baseball season opens today with a meeting of candidates for Sophomore, Junior, and Senior teams at 3 o'clock in the Locker Building on Soldiers Field, it was announced last night by A. W. Samborski '25, director of intramural athletics.

The men will work out daily on the inter-class field beyond the University diamond and will be under the direction of Rurus Bond, who has helped coach the Freshman football team for a number of years and who has had charge of basketball at Brown University and baseball at Northeastern.

Although the schedule is not yet definitely determined it is planned to arrange a number of games with local preparatory and high schools. The inter-class series will begin within two weeks, with the Sophomore and Junior teams playing two games before the organization of the Senior team, which will not take place until after the divisional examinations are over. The winning team will play the victorious class team at Yale as the climax to the season.
