20 COLLEGES TO COMPETE IN SWIMMING CONTEST

When the entries for the seventh National Collegiate Swimming Association Meet, the finals of which will be in the new Harvard pool closed yesterday 20 colleges had sent word to Manager R.L. Hoguet '31 that they would compete.

The complete list of entries, then, is as follows:

Michigan, lowa, Amherst, M. I. T., Pennsylvania, Brown, Stanford, Spring-field, Minnesota, Northwestern, Syracuse, McGill, Dartmouth, Bowdoin, and Princeton, N.Y.U., Columbia, Union, Rutgers, and Fordham.

Rutgers has entered seven men. The team will be led by Captain George Kojac, outstanding eastern swimmer and National Collegiate champion in the 150-yard backstroke. Thomas Phillips will swim in the 220 and 440-yard free style. William Marquette will swim in the 150-yard medley swim. Phillip Gariss has been entered in the fancy diving. Frank Jelenko in the 50-yard free style, John Armstrong in the 150-yard backstroke.

Fordham has entered one man, August Harms, Metropolitan A.A.U. 220-yard free style and breast stroke champion.

Columbia University has entered four men led by its great middle distance swimmer Ray Ruddy. Ruddy will compete in the 440-yard free style and 220-yard free style. J. Dolgos has been entered in the 50 and 100-yard free style and Parnell Callahan in the 200-yard breast stroke, George Rowland will swim in the 300-yard medley.
