Harvard Students To Vote on Divestment From Israel in Inaugural HUA Election Survey
The schedule for next fall's University soccer team, including three major games to be played on consecutive Saturdays, was announced yesterday by C. J. Liebman Jr. '31, manager of the team. At the same time the 1930 Freshman schedule of eight games was announced by J. T. Braxtan '32. These arrangements are subject to the approval of the Committee on the Regulation of Athletic Sports. In commenting on the schedules, Coach J. F. Carr '28 remarked, "The fact that we are to have a coach for the second team next year and have completed a contract for a second team game with Yale, the first official one, indicates the growing popularity of soccer at Harvard. I urge all who consider playing next fall to report for spring practice on Monday, when an excellent opportunity for beginners to learn the fundamentals of the game will be provided."
The University soccer team's schedule is as follows: October 4, Wesleyan: October 11, open: October 18. University of Pennsylvania: October 25, Dartmouth: November 1. Navy: November 4. M. I. T.: November 8, open: November 15, Brown; November 22. University and second University team games with Yale at New Haven.
The schedule for the Freshmen is as follows: October 11, Bradford Durfee: October 18, Dean Academy: October 22. Andover (tentative): October 25. Exeter at Exeter: November 1. Worcester Academy; November 8, Tabor: November 15, Brown: November 22. Yale at New Haven.
