The annual University boxing tournament, offering Harvard pugilists their only chance to exhibit their skill at the sport will begin tonight at 8 O'clock at the Hemenway ring. At present 35 men have signed up for the preliminaries; tonight's winners will meet a week from today to determine the titles.
Only one champion has returned to defend his title during the tournament this week. This is G. H. Nawn '32, who as a Freshman won the 135 pound title last winter; Nawn will have nine opponents between him and a second title.
In view of the fact that boxing has recently been made a minor sport the tournament should draw a record crowd, as it is not unlikely that several future team boxers will be in the ring tonight.
