S. S. Hanks '12 will lecture on "The Flying Boat" at 4.30 o'clock this afternoon in Pierce Hall, the Harvard Engineering School. His talk will be illustrated with slides and films.
This afternoon's lecture will be the second in a series of four talks by Hanks on airport problems of design, construction, and management for the engineer, architect, and business executive. Next Tuesday his third lecture will discuss "American Airports, Present and Future".
Hanks was formerly in the State Department at Washington, has been an airplane pilot since 1916, and served as aide to the chief signal officer of the Army during the World War.
