A Harvard contingent of ten men, including a four-man relay team, will entrain tomorrow at 12.30 o'clock for New York, where it will compete in the Millrose Athletic Association games that evening. Coach Farrell will not accompany the Crimson team, but his place will be taken by E. C. Haggerty '27, leader of the Crimson track and field men three years ago.
Harvard attention will be focussed largely on the one-mile relay event, in which V. L. Hennessey '30, W. C. Rowe '31, Vernon Munroe Jr. '31, and E. E. Record '32 will compete against the runners from the University of Pennsylvania, University of Maryland, and Columbia University. Hennessey and Rowe were members of the 1929 team which captured a first place at the Gotham event last year. F. E. Cummings '30, who ran anchor in this meet last season, although scholastically eligible now, will not make the trip. G. A. Tupper '29 was the fourth member of this quartet. Munroe and Record, who will be running at the games in the Empire City for the first time tonight, were captains of their respective Freshman track teams.
Captain T. F. Mason '30, J. B. Hawes '32, and F. V. Nissen '30 present a formidable Crimson representation in the 50-yard handicap event. David Cobb '31, whose stellar work in the long runs formed a bright chapter in last season's track history, will run in the half mile. N. P. Hallowell '32, cross-country luminary, represents Harvard's hopes in the 1000-yard event. He will run from scratch. F. J. Mardulier '30, in the 60-yard high hurdles, rounds out the Crimson forces.
