N.P. HALLOWELL STARS IN HANDICAP MEET FINALS

The annual Handicap Track Meet was brought to a close Saturday at Soldiers Field with the finals of all events, some of which were started on Friday.

N.P. Hallowell '32, sensational Crimson miler, made a distinctive showing in overcoming J.F. Ellsbree '33 and F.R. Flynn '32 who started with 75 and 50 yard handicaps respectively.

The summary:

50-yard dash--Won by A.L. Watkins '31; second, E.E. Record '32 (1 yard); third, J.B. Hawes '32. Time--5 2-5 sec.

45-yard high hurdles--Won by E.E. Record '32; second, F.J. Mardulier '30; third, W.C. Rowe '31. Time--6 1-5 sec.

300-yard run--Won by J.C. Grady '33 (6 yards); second, H.E. Nyhoff '31 (5 yards); third, V.L. Hennessey '30. Time--34 4-5 sec.

600-yard run--Won by G.P. Rosen '33 (25 yards); second, D.C. Greene '32 (30 yards); third, H.M. Hartnett '30 (25 yards). Time--1 min., 17 sec.

1000-yard run--Won by J.W. Fobes '32; second, J.H. Pearson '32 (25 yards); third, David Cobb '31. Time--2 min., 25 1-5 sec.

Mile run--Won by N.P. Hallowell '32; second, J.F. Ellsbree '33 (75 yards); third, F.R. Flynn '32 (50 yards).

One and a half mile run--Won by David Cobb '31; second, J.L. Reid 1L; third, J.M. Fox '32. Time--7 min., 22 1-5 sec.

Pole vault--Won by F.V. Weeks '31 (1 ft. 6 in.); second, E.H. Clark '33 (2 ft. 6 in.); third, C.E. Dunlap '30 (6 in.). Height--13 ft.
