Standish Hall led Smith Halls by two points in the annual Freshman Interdormitory track meet yesterday afternoon at Soldiers Field until G. F. Bennett of Smith scored two first places in the final events of the day, thereby turning the tide for Smith. Bennett had a great day, taking four firsts. His victories were not unexpected in the pole vault, shot put, and broad jump, but when he led N. P. Dodge, Jr. of Standish and H. F. Kollmyer of Smith to the tape in the short dash, it was somewhat of a surprise, for Bennett has not competed in the dash this year. The final count placed Smith first with 34 points, Standish second with 29, McKinlock third with 13, and Gore last with 12.
R. P. Wesley '33, newly crowned New England A. A. A. U. 1,000-yard champion, had an easy time in his favorite distance, winning in 2.26, while Arthur Foote, 2nd '33 showed promise in his 4.41 performance over the mile route.
