SUMMER SCHOOL OPENS FOR SIX WEEKS ON JULY 7

The University Summer School has recently made a preliminary announcement of its courses of instructions for 1930.

Opening July 7, the School will continue for six weeks, closing August 16. The following courses will be offered: Anthropology,--Architecture. Astronomy, Botany, Chemistry, Comparative Philology, Economics, Education, Engineering Sciences, English, Fine Arts, French, Geology, German, Government, Greek, History, Hygiene, Italian, Landscape Architecture, Latin, Mathematics, Medical Sciences, Music, Philosophy, Physical Education, Physics, Psychology. Public Speaking, Social Ethics, and Spanish. The registration fee will be $5, and the tuition fees from $25 to $50.

Most of the summer, courses will be accepted as one-half courses for fulfillment of requirements for the degrees of A.B. and S.B. Courses leading to the degrees. Associate in Arts, Master of Arts, Master of Education, and Doctor of Education will also be offered. Many of them will involve historical and industrial excursions, music, dramatics, and lectures open to the public.

Students in the Summer School, mostly school-teachers who aspire to higher positions, will be housed in the Freshman Halls.
