Preparatory to the coming concert season, the Harvard Freshman Instrumental Clubs held their initial trials to which 25 candidates reported, in the Gore Hall common room Wednesday. The playing and singing ability as well as the individual qualifications of each candidates were graded.
As appointed by the University Instrumental Clubs. J. P. Frothingham '33 is president of the Freshman contingent, with J. M. Bradley '33 vice-president. R. S. Neff '33 secretary-treasurer, and R. H. Goodwin manager. R. A. B. Braggiotti '33 will lead the Banjo Club and H. R. Herrmann '33 will conduct the Gold Coast Orchestra.
Although no concert dates have as yet been fixed, the manager expects to arrange performances at the Freshman Jubilee, and at Brattle Hall. The first rehearsal of the Club will take place Wednesday, and it is urged that those candidates attend the rehearsal who were not present at the trials.
